ABOUT THE CREATOR OF 

THE BLOOM COAST SUN

After many years in a traditional career, I - Mijke - decided a few years ago that it was time to choose a different path in life, one that was closer to my heart. I felt a strong urge to develop my creative potential and further explore my love for art. This inner calling led me to create hats and small furniture (which I plan to expand further in the near future), where I could combine my passion for art and craftsmanship.

In my workshop, surrounded by various fabrics, feathers, and other materials, I feel complete. I draw inspiration from everything around me: living near the sea, the colors of a sunset, the dunes, and the animals I see every day, greatly inspire me. The soothing sounds of the waves, the play of light on the water, and the natural shapes of the dunes and animals around me are constant sources of inspiration. I try to capture these elements in my creations, so each design carries a piece of this beautiful environment and tells its own unique story.

It fills me with joy to see how people react to my work. Their appreciation and the smiles on their faces when they wear one of my unique hats or place one of my furniture pieces in their home confirm that I have made the right choice. By following my creativity and love for art, I have found a new, fulfilling path in my life, one that has brought me closer to myself and the world around me!
